"Someone put forth the notion recently that the beautiful will almost never be
able to convey the real. thank god this is not a beautiful poem. but it sings
anyway, and like a hungry coyote, it knows how to yelp its head off."

What we like:
Distilled writing and visual art that gets to the point
without just painting a pretty picture. Improvisation, innovation,
quirky-ness, non-linear thinking, raw, brave, real, crazy mother flippin'
stuff if you have it, send it!
There is no shortage of really nice poems out there. We do not want "nice."
We want to feel a physical reaction to your work.
Nausea. Embarassment.
Arousal. Something.
I have a personal fondness for erotic poetry (edgy, evocative, visceral, nothing overly sentimental or
sweet) and shorties poetry, but bottom line, we want
innovative, quality work.

When you submit, you will receive an automated response
letting you know that we have gotten your submission. We will try to get back to
you as soon as we are able. We will not be reading 2 weeks before and 2 weeks
after a new issue is published, so please be patient if you send work during
that time. We will give our full attention to your work, we promise.

We will not consider work which is
discriminatory, contains nonconsensual sex, underage characters, bestiality, or
covert or overt bigotry, sexism or libel. (Okay. We mightconsider it. But it better be damn
good.) By submitting,

work is your original creation and does not infringe on any copyrights or
copyright laws. If your work has been previously published, please
