Unlucky Dada-less nude descending staircase,
there's no motion like your body in motion,
no sense of time or scandal,
before your fragrant, garlanded sparrow hair.
You are an armory stripped bare,
your calves belong to an earlier work,
already forgotten by the avant-garde.
Your pirouettes astound me.
If I could only keep you away from schools,
I could keep you in abstraction,
fragrant and fragmented.
